My role is...

The Pastoral Center of the Archdiocese of Portland exists to serve and accompany pastors, their staffs, and their pastoral leadership teams in the work of parish renewal.  We support, equip, and accompany each parish as they "Witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ".  

The Office of Parish Support consists of a team of parish advocates or liaisons who each work with individual parishes to assist them in discerning and implementing the vision that God is calling them to.   

Parish Visits - Periodic visits with the pastor and/or designated parish leaders and staff in order for OPCS to learn more about the parish and its challenges and to help consider and determine next steps to address concerns. Also, to collect new and innovative ideas for potential sharing with other parishes.

Listening Sessions - A listening, reporting, and consultation process that includes the pastor and other invited parishioners in order to seek information and perspective about either parish life in general or a particular parish issue or area of concern in need of being addressed and resolved.
